AWeber Review - 2022

Today's review revolves around AWeber, one of the top email marketing platforms available today. I will discuss, everything there is to know about AWeber, including the features, pricing, and most importantly, the pros and cons. When selecting a program, it is important to consider its faults (Cons) as they can severely affect, once business, and as such, it is important to find a program, which will not harm your business/campaign, but only help it succeed. Now seeing as these types of things can be time-consuming, let’s not waste any more time, and get started.

What is AWeber?

AWeber is an email marketing service, which provides its clients with the needed tools and features, to run a successful email marketing campaign. They provide everything from auto-responders, to tools used for creating email lists, campaigns, newsletters, and so on. It is basically a one-stop, all-in-one program for email marketers.

Founder and Short History

AWeber was founded back in 1998, by sole founder, Tom Kulzer. He was a software engineer and quickly discovered the lack of automated response software, which set him on his journey of creating his own. As such, he designed an automated web assistant, which then became AWeber. As time passed he changed, upgraded, and improved the program, giving us what we have today.

What Does It Cost?

AWeber has 2 different plans. The first one is the basic plan, which is completely free and allows 0 – 500 subscribers. It also has all of the AWeber tools and features.

Then there is the Pro Plan, the pricing depends on the period and number of subscribers. It includes everything that AWeber has to offer.

Monthly: $19.99 to $149.99 per month, depending on the number of subscribers. ($19+ per month)

Quarterly (3 Months): $16.33 to $146.33 per month, billed quarterly, price depending on the number of subscribers.

Annually: $16.15 to $146.15 per month, billed annually, price depending on the number of subscribers.

Any Up-Sales?

Special plans, with different prices, are made for those with more than 25 000 subscribers, other than that, they do not have any up-sales.

What About A Money-Back Guarantee?

AWeber does not have a money-back guarantee, seeing as the program does have a free version. You can, however, get a refund on time left, which means, they give you the money back, for the days you will not be using the program, but have already paid for.

Is The Program Legit?

AWeber is definitely a legitimate program, for many different reasons. First, it is over 20 years old and has a ton of users. They have had many success stories over the last 2 decades, with some willing to speak for the program. People have made millions of dollars, with the program as well.

AWeber - Pros

AWeber offers a completely free plan, with no time limit.

AWeber is rather easy to use, and simple to understand, making it a program even newbie’s can use.

The program comes with a large number of templates, some AI designs, others designed by experts.

There is more than one way of getting support, and even if you for some reason can’t, there is also the support center, which gives you access to FAQ pages, videos, and more.

The prices are quite reasonable. Sure it ain’t the cheapest, but the price is reasonable considering what you get access to.

Mobile apps, to help you do things on the go.

AWeber has AMP for email, making it one of the first programs to do so.

When sending an e-newsletter, you cannot include or exclude multiple segments at once.

There are programs, which have cheaper plans, with better tools out there.

Even though the landing page builder is quite useful, it does not provide a way to use Facebook pixels or Google analytics.

Some of the templates are a bit dated, and will not work quite as well.

The RSS/Blog to email templates are not of that great quality, and they cannot be edited, using the drag and drop editor.

Their support is not always operational, even though it is supposed to be 24/7. You can wait quite a while, before receiving answers.

AWeber - Product Overview

AWeber analytics provides you with the data that matters, such as KPIs and so on. This data gives insight into your marketing campaign, letting you know what is happening with your emails, which allows you to adjust, fix, and create emails, to further your campaign and make it more successful. You can furthermore, use the integrated split testing, to see which content will provide you with the best possible results.

AWeber provides you with tools such as basic marketing automation, auto-responder, auto-newsletter, automated tagging, and more, which allow automation creation, of nearly everything, helping you not only save time but also, be more successful. It further allows you to personalize your communications, with directed campaigns, and so on.

I have been considering using aweber for a while but I never heard a review to see if it was worth it.Thanks

I use aweber regularly for all my businesses and marketing campaigns and highly recommend it. They walk you through each step in the process, they help you avoid spam complaints through their double opt in feature... the only down side is importing lists since they want the double opt-in but even that was easy enough to work around once I notified my list that I was doing a clean up and wanted them to opt-in only if they wanted to continue receiving information from me. I've not used GetResponse so have no feedback on their services, but most of the marketers I network with (with huge lists) use aWeber which gave me the confidence to try it out. I wouldn't change at this point.

Thanks for the comment Kay, have to agree, I also use only Aweber because of the pricing, GetResponse work just as fine, but more expensive.

did anyone get more sales from using this product?

John said...

I have one doubt.
Suppose I already have a list from my Feedburner account. Do I need to get their confirmation again ?

Christene said...

Confirmation from your subscribers?

No you won't, as long as your name and "intent subscription" stay the same. If you plan on using another line of email marketing that is different from the current one, then it would be safe to get confirmation again.

You can just export your list from Feedburner to Aweber.

Sadly you could have eliminated the person who didn't like your comment about God is your boss, instead you shrunk to his level and engaged with him in name calling. Very umprofessional. Perhaps that is why your last post on this was 2013.

This is an old review (2012) Lots of new ones came after this. People usually do not engage on stuff that is outdated.

Baboon and rock is not name calling but the "truth" been told. Yes, even you and I are suppose to admit that we have the intelligence of a primate. Nevertheless, like I said this is a very old post out of hundreds and needs an update/clean up. Thank you for stopping by to bring it to my attention.

PS: I do not engage in conversations that is not on topic anymore. Such comments are removed to avoid confrontations.

I want to use A weber for marketing but I don't have too many email addresses to send email. Do A weber send bulk email to 50,000 email addresses?
