What Is LeadPages?

As a way to grow a business, one can go the route of using email marketing, which means, building an email list, with a bunch of subscribers to whom you can promote your products and sell more. Now to grow an email list one needs to get more subscribers, which means more promoting and so forth. Using leads is one of the common ways of growing an email list, and to generate leads, one needs to create landing pages, pop-ups, websites, and so on. Now, this is exactly what LeadPages do. They provide the tools so you can generate more leads, and grow your business.

To put it short, LeadPages is a program with tools and features to allow one to build websites, landing pages, pop-ups, and so forth, or create webinars, lead magnets, and so on, to generate leads, which in turn translates to more email subscribers, to help grow your business.

Founders and History?

Founded in 2012 by Tracy Simmons, Simon Payne, and Clay Collins, but first released in 2013, LeadPages had quite a bit of software to start with. They already had dozens of templates and tools, for their clients to use, and quickly became popular. In that same year, they received millions of dollars in funding, and upgraded the program in early December, adding a bunch of new tools and features.

Throughout 2014 they added more features, such as integration, SMS text, and so on, and then in 2015, they held their first converted event, a conference on the topic of marketing for small businesses. It was then middle 2016 when they acquired the small email marketing start-up Drip.

In 2017 they revealed their partnership with Facebook and added Facebook Ads to their program. Since then they have continued upgrading and adding features to their program.

User Interface

The platform is easy to navigate and use without glitches or lagging. It does take some time to get familiar with all the features, but a newbie can manage this easily with all the tutorials available out there.

Any Up-Sales?

LeadPages in itself do not have any up-sales whatsoever; however, there is a chance you might have to subscribe to another program, for instance, MailChimp which is compatible with LeadPages. As some tools are not provided by LeadPages, one will need another program to fill that gap, which you will also have to pay for, increasing the amount paid per month, on programs, and such.

LeadPages, furthermore, does have fees for services and such, which is outlined in their terms and conditions, document. Amounts may vary depending on services and so on.

What About A Money-Back Guarantee?

LeadPages does not have a money-back guarantee or a refund policy. If you cancel, you will receive no money whatsoever, even if you still have unused time on a payment. The trial, however, gives more than ample time to test the platform properly prior to buying.

Legit or a Scam?

LeadPages is definitely not a scam, and here’s why:

Not only do they have millions of subscribers, which have been successful in the past, but they have also been around for almost 10 years now. They update their products regularly, and there are tons of reviews, articles, comments, and so forth, from people who have used them in the past, or are still using the program, claiming the program legit. Yes, they have had hiccups, with people that weren’t successful, or people that had a bad experience, but so do most businesses. It is how they react to those hiccups that are more important, and so far, they have tried to fix the problems. So in my opinion, LeadPages is legit, not a scam.

What About Support?

LeadPages offers email, chat, and call support, plus they have Tech Support, webinars, and so on, to help any of their users. They furthermore have FAQ pages, and guides, to offer even more support. Depending on the method, one can expect support within 48 hours, with chat being the best support option to use.

Do They Offer Tutorials and/or Training?

LeadPages does have guides, webinars, 1-on-1 quick start calls, weekly group coaching, and so on, to help their users learn about the program, how to use the program, how leads works, and so on. It is not a complete training program, with hundreds of training videos, and son, but it is sufficient enough to help with the LeadPages program.

Can I Make Money With LeadPages?

A lot of people have been successful with the program, but some have not. It depends on the person, the business, the motivation, and quite a few other things as well. It takes work and patience, as well as a willingness to learn. Different things can determine whether you make money. Some people promote products that don’t have a market; others just don’t do the required work.

But to put it simply, yes LeadPages can help you to generate money, but you will have to put in the time and work, as well as have patience.

LeadPages - Pros

The LeadPages interface is rather easy to use and simple to understand.

One does not need prior HTML experience, to use LeadPages. Anyone, even a newbie can use the program.

LeadPages support is rather good, especially the chat, as one can expect help within 48 hours. There is also a multitude of ways, to get support.

One can create a landing page in a very short amount of time.

A lot of their features are customizable, and one can clone landing pages and so on, to reuse.

Leadmeter feature that is awesome and actually works well. PS: This will show you if your page is good or poor and will convert well or not.

Cons

When entering the free trial, one has to provide credit card details, as they automatically pay and renew the fees, from the moment the trial expires. As such, people sometimes lose their money, if they do not cancel in time.

LeadPages does not have any refunds whatsoever, meaning if you don’t cancel at least 3 days before your payments renew, you will lose another month's money. You furthermore do not get any money back after canceling, even if there was still paid time left.

LeadPages does lack some tools, such as pop-ups for YouTube, and so on.

Let's Sum This Up With My Opinion...

LeadPages is not overpriced and has something for every budget and need. If you are serious about online marketing, it is well worth spending money on. When it comes to familiarizing oneself with the platform, there is a learning curve involved. However, website development and marketing itself have a learning curve itself so it is worth learning a platform that will increase knowledge right? If you are familiar with WordPress and setting up basic marketing campaigns, then it will take no time at all to learn how to use Leadpages. A complete newbie? I suggest that you start off with the cheap option to get you started and to familiarize yourself with the platform.

I am obviously a huge fan of programs that offer a trial or free option so people can test before buying. Leadpages has just that, a chance to test the product before spending your hard-earned money.
